Reverse osmosis units
For the removal of particulate matter and ions in water
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane process which removes ions as well as particulate matter from water.
Reverse osmosis units are used to make demineralised water. Thanks to the use of membrane modules, a reverse osmosis unit does not require any regeneration chemicals.
One of the main components of a reverse osmosis system is the pretreatment unit, which prevents calcium and magnesium scaling on the membranes. Pretreatment is performed using various processes such as water softening by ion exchange or hardness stabilisation using an antiscalant.
