Bag filter

For separation of coarse particles or for final filtration
Bag filters are used in water treatment for the separation of coarse particles or for final filtration (safety filtration) at very low solids concentrations.
The water to be treated normally flows into the top of the bag filter housings at the side and then flows through the filter bag, so that any solids remain in the filter bag. Once the bag filters are exhausted they can simply be emptied and reused after cleaning. Bag filters are made of stainless steel or plastic (e.g. polypropylene, PVC or PVDF) and usually have the following structure: Filter housing, supporting basket, hold-down clamp, lid and the actual filter bag.
Bag filters are characterised in particular by the broad range and simplicity of changing the filter bags.
